The company is engaged in the manufacture and distribution of chemical products. It was incorporated in January of 1996 and has its registered head office in the city of Sant Andreu de la Barca in Spain. The company is the chemical business unit of Laboratorios Almirall S.A., an international pharmaceutical entity which is based in Barcelona, Spain. Laboratorios Almirall is active in researching, developing, manufacturing and marketing its own R&D (research and development) and licensed drugs that are used in the treatment of asthma, COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, psoriasis and dermatology in general.
